The last of Norcal, back to beaches and palm trees now. I forced Colin to let me take a few photos of him in his parka..kinda wish I had one like it for some furry hood action of my own. This belt is pretty much the only thing I bought up here but I will soon be making up for that one with a little online purchase..heh heh.

Random shot from the hotel..we stayed at the Hotel Kabuki and I'm only half sure that our room was haunted. As we were about to check out, I asked Colin if he got a weird vibe from our room and got a rather vocal "YOU TOO?"...after which he added that he hadn't wanted to freak me out by saying something about it earlier. He could not know me any better.

Nice gardens though.

AND if you're in Japantown seriously try Jitlada Thai on Buchanan and get the mango salad and red curry scallops. Freakishly good.

I'm tempted to Rodarte-ify this cardigan but want to get a few more wears out of it before that particular potential disaster.

Visited one of my favorite stores in Berkeley, Slash, which is basically just a tiny room with piles and piles of vintage Levi's and a good amount of army surplus gear. Fun if you're in the mood to really dig. One of my best friends in high school introduced it to me back in the day and we used to spend hours trying to find the ultimate Levi's. We'd do all kinds of obnoxious things like switch wardrobes for the week so that no one could tell us apart from the back and wear inappropriately strappy platforms to assembly. Shout out to Anne!

I ended up just getting a green meshy hooded jacket. The salesgirl informed me that the material it's made of is bugproof..or something. I didn't inquire further, but it can't hurt, right?

Did some lackluster shopping in Union Square..all that anticipation to stock up on 100 dens at H&M and a blingy Zara belt. Well and try on a ridiculous pair of Givenchy cross-strap wedges on sale at Barney's. No size 7 and a still off-putting price tag said that one wasn't meant to be. Which is fine, because in reality I'm more excited about the second season of The Tudors being released on DVD...TOMORROW.

God I've been such horrible blogger lately..blame it on traveling and Colin's laptop suddenly getting a virus that has rendered it useless. Probably a sign that it's time to invest in that Macbook. Now that I have a few fleeting seconds on my mom's desktop I can finally catch up a bit. Thank you so much for all the sweet New Year's wishes and I hope you all had a great one. Mine involved a lot of drinking in our hotel room (Ketel Mango Calpico anyone?), a rooftop party, and a TWO MILE WALK BACK in the crazy San Francisco cold. Damn the no cabs at 2am problem rearing its ugly head. Good thing Chloe makes comfortable boots.

I found this coat at my parent's house in their library where I have a totally uninvited rack of random clothes..I think I got it this past summer and forgot about it. Talk about merry reunion. I was almost as happy to discover it as I was three stacks of about 50 magazines on the desk in my old room..and here I was thinking all my subscriptions had run out.

Spent a gloriously gloomy day in Sonoma screwing around at a few wineries and finding Colin what is apparently the best beef jerky ever at Angelo's. Norcal = so pretty.

I get a lot of questions about the Elizabeth and James ring I wear all the time..I got it from Intermix's website back in October-ish. I don't see it on the site now, but it might still be available elsewhere.
