Ally Hilfiger! I fell in love with her hippie-dippie-with-a-Birkin routine on MTV’s Rich Girls (why is this not available on DVD? I would totally shamelessly purchase!) and was saddened when I was no longer able to see her in all her headscarfed glory due to the show’s quick demise. Memories of watching her angst-ridden attempt to make a burrito and shopping for candy in a tiara, boa, and aviators stick out most strongly. The girl could almost rival Rachel Bilson for tiny brunette cuteness, and I’m weirdly enthralled by her chipmunky facial structure. Whatever she was doing since her reality TV sting (rehab? eh don’t care), she’s upped the style factor and I find myself lurking in her revived thread at thefashionspot semi-frequently. And can I also say how much I am entertained by the randomness of this quote from nymag?
Ally is a painter. “I do a lot of different versions of the number 8,” she said.
Awesome.

The perfect Saturday, complete with thrifting and shopping downtown with the boyfriend, lying about at the beach, meeting up with some friends for a superlate lunch, briefly wandering around in DSW and Target, dying the bf’s brother’s hair platinum blonde, and piling into a cab to meet more friends for some mild debauchery. Somehow I ended up hanging out with 9 boys, I really need to make more girlfriends since most of mine moved away. Will work on that.
No full outfit shots, so sad because I wore this vintage dress for the first time and wanted to capture it! It has this adorable mini circle skirt, tie belt, and sheer upper, all in a unexpected thick floral brocade-like fabric, which are relatively undetectable here but oh well..the boyfriend’s brother took these shots randomly so they’ll have to do. Excuse the gum-chewing and relatively dazed look, it was pretty far into the night…not that the photos don’t make that obvious enough haha. It ended being a pretty Richter time…
Dress and bag, vintage…worn with black opaques and my electric blue satin wedges from Nine west.
