Finally feeling more into summer.

This dress was immediate love when I opened the Topshop package last week – the triangular cutouts at the straps were what convinced me I needed it, but the detailing and cut are also just done really well. I showed it to my mom and she just seemed really confused by it, calling it contradiction in dress format. Which makes total sense, and probably explains why I’m so infuatuated.
We ended up doing more ambling about and eating than real shopping, but I did pick up a couple things at H&M – one of them being the white blazer in the post below that a few of you asked about. So yes, it is definitely still available!

These are likely the craziest jeans I have ever seen, let alone actually worn. There’s so much going on with them – the skinniest cropped leg, ridiculously high waist, and lattice cutouts at the sides, all executed in a delicously ugly/awesome acid wash. All they’re missing is…nothing. I was doubtful as to whether I could integrate them into my style, but I tried and I think I am in love. Anyway, what is fashion without wanton experimentation? I’ve been trying to wear my older shoes and bags lately to, you know, spread the love – I forgot how ideal these Jessica Simpson ankle boots are. I couldn’t care less about her recent delving into country music, but I must say I’m grateful for the production of these shoes.
Sorry it’s been quiet here the past couple of days, my boyfriend and I have been busy having one of the best weekends of recent history – don’t worry, we went a little photo crazy and I have a little over a zillion photos to sift through, resize, and post. The last two here are a preview from today’s session, can’t wait to put up the rest.
I’m not sure how it happened that I’m so behind on outfit posts, but I pretty much am. I’ll just post them all together and try to be more on top of it.

For all the people who complain that I never smile. I wore this to my boyfriend’s grandmother’s place, which is kind of hilarious. It’s okay, they love me and my crazy shoes. And I love them and their beautifully wolf-like dog. Photos courtesy of my boyfriend and his dad.

This photo was overexposed so I tried to save it by making it black and white. Same outfit, different shoes. I change a lot, you see.

Something about the short poufy skirt is very functional in my wardrobe – I think it’s safe to say I prefer layering on top to balance out all that girliness. Here I experimented with a trusty navy blazer and another men’s Forever 21 purchase, this oversized striped cardigan that has proven quite handy on freezing Southwest flights.
If you are wondering why my store is currently empty, big changes are on the way and I’ve been gathering crazy good stuff over the past few weeks in preparation. I’m forecasting a reopening late next week so stay tuned.
