History was just made.
Vintage shirt, Rogan for Target jeans, Forever 21 hat, Colin Stuart boots, Balenciaga bag.
I have a thing for ear flaps, my most treasured EF hat being one that that I got on eBay from Norway a few years ago from a girl that knits them all herself and donates all this money to an animal shelter or something. Mostly because it has CAT EARS. I have to find this magical hat immediately.
I showed Chris the Halloween post (he promised to get back to the comments), to which he responded: “You make me want to smoke and kill puppies!”
Lol. Oh and he isn’t Colin’s brother.
Shredded American Apparel tshirt, Korcula necklace, Forever 21 pants, Promiscuous heels, Balenciaga bag.
Well the pants I ordered came in record time, and all I have to say is that I’ve never owned anything so freaking comfortable. I think at some point while wearing them I declared that I never wanted to take them off, mainly to annoy Colin since he’s not too sold on them. They look sloppy at best with flats but I think with heels it all kind of balances out. Though adding heels to things is pretty much my solution to most wardrobe problems.
Spent the night with my two favorite boys jumping around between random houses and bars with the obligatory pit stop to pick up beer and M&Ms. I think my makeup turned out to be more just really shimmery than sickly like I wanted it to look but I’ve never really been too handy with makeup. Colin was a Roman warrior that I tried to pass off as Atreyu and Chris a pretty convincing motorcycle accident victim that ended up getting fake blood all over me. Most random costume I saw: girl dressed as Salad Fingers. Props for specificity.
I have to say a huge thank you to Nature Graffiti for the suggestion on using Forever 21 accessories to make the headpiece – I found a double strand necklace that I separated and re-tied along with the big pin..sadly they didn’t have anything teardrop-shaped like the original one but I think I got lucky enough that the strands were the right length for my dome. Someone also commented when I posted my plan that the Neverending Story wasn’t too big in the US, which makes sense since I had to really explain my costume to pretty much everyone. Makes sense, I think I was living in Tokyo or Hong Kong during the peak of my obsession as a child. The fact I randomly threw on a vintage faux fur for warmth probably only confused the matter more.
Call me slow on the uptake but I hadn’t actually checked out the collection that included the boots we’ve all been dying over for the past couple months. Aside from discovering that they come in MINT and ORANGE SHERBET (just the knowledge that they’re out there somewhere makes me happy), I’ve decided that I’m in desperate need of ink splattery tie dyed minidresses, however unsold I remain on the monochromatic pastel look.
Oh yeah, and they come in a transparent/black combination too. Topshop, how were these not mass produced? Mmm shiny stiff ruffles.
The latest more affordable wares – I would have bought the cardigan but I swear to God Topshop has already sucked away wayyy too much of my money this month. I’m awaiting not one but two orders..bad bad. Included are Kate Moss wet-look skinnies, the studded Gucci k/o boots, and a D.I.P. dress. Though I doubt I would have been able to resist if she had recreated any of the three dresses on the left…
