This year I want to start wearing more shapely dresses than the sacks I’ve gravitated towards in the past but this Zara number I might never wean myself off of. Eww wean. It originally came with a slip and a tie belt that I’ve long since lost, and it’s meant to be worn as a knee length sort of thing but I love it thrown back over the shoulders. Such an unseemly silhouette requires the most optimal footwear for redeeming power…I really think that these Céline sandals could save anything. The really good accessories are like that.

Last night was the launch party for the beautiful collaboration between Marni and H&M, held at the Lloyd Wright-designed Sowden House in Los Feliz. Brightly lit looming palm trees, flowers crawling up stone walls, huge pillows thrown about carelessly, and candles occupying every flat surface in sight made for an enchanted sort of feeling that I failed to capture appropriately with photos. Being in close quarters with Mel Gibson and Winona Ryder may have proven to be too distracting. I wore a Sandro blazer, Zara button down shirt, Maurie and Eve’s ‘Bowie’ shorts, and Alexander Wang heels. Always a little heavy hearted to leave New York! Thank you to the Tribeca Grand for the perfect stay.

Buying two shearling jackets in the middle of summer while traveling through Europe was the bane of my existence every time it came time to pack my bags. But no regrets now, these things are so warm I have morphed into a person who has no issues taking long pointless walks at night or filling up the gas tank at a arctic Chevron in the middle of nowhere. Kinda nice not having to be the group wuss from time to time. Worn here with a Madewell light denim shirt and Malene Birger neck cuff.

Last night en route to the Bloglovin Awards…wearing Theory dress (I love the gray wool ringer collar) and coat, Phillip Lim Pashli bag, and Egoiste choker.
