Stretch denim in the form of not-jeans…scary territory. This denim dress is sadly more of a tunic so I decided to innovate and wear it as a top. It’s a tad bulky underneath the thinner cotton skirt but the full pleats kind of allow this to be masked.
Denim dress, secondhand. Scarf and skirt, vintage. Bag, vintage Chanel. Sunglasses, picked up this weekend at Urban Outfitters. Jewelry, F21, H&M, and vintage. Boots, Jessica Simpson.

The perfect Saturday, complete with thrifting and shopping downtown with the boyfriend, lying about at the beach, meeting up with some friends for a superlate lunch, briefly wandering around in DSW and Target, dying the bf’s brother’s hair platinum blonde, and piling into a cab to meet more friends for some mild debauchery. Somehow I ended up hanging out with 9 boys, I really need to make more girlfriends since most of mine moved away. Will work on that.
No full outfit shots, so sad because I wore this vintage dress for the first time and wanted to capture it! It has this adorable mini circle skirt, tie belt, and sheer upper, all in a unexpected thick floral brocade-like fabric, which are relatively undetectable here but oh well..the boyfriend’s brother took these shots randomly so they’ll have to do. Excuse the gum-chewing and relatively dazed look, it was pretty far into the night…not that the photos don’t make that obvious enough haha. It ended being a pretty Richter time…
Dress and bag, vintage…worn with black opaques and my electric blue satin wedges from Nine west.

I was re-acquainting myself with Kirsten Dunst’s style of semi-yore when going through said super-old inspiration folder, and it made me realize how apathetic I am towards her look these days. I mean, this just might have to do with her current whereabouts, but it made me miss the days when she hadn’t fully grunged herself out yet. She’s always had sort of an unkempt French chic thing going on (well, more than any other Hollywood It Girl), and her outfits were always so simple yet alluring. She makes that canvas APC bag look just as good as her Chanel, and I loved the fact that she didn’t wear trendy sweat pants back when it was all about Juicy, she instead had actual elastic ankle ones and made them look cooler. Sigh. Hopefully she’ll get better soon.

I’m wearing the top untucked for a more casual look but I think I like it equally both ways. I ordered these shoes last week from Endless and am thus far quite pleased. Supple leather, endless straps and buckles, and a relatively friendly wedge heel. I was going to hold off on them until I couldn’t stand not owning them any longer, but Zappos started running out of sizes and I caved. No will power against the Balenciaga-alike shoes…
Top, thrifted Gap. Lame skirt, American Apparel. Bangle, vintage. Bag, Charlotte Russe. Sandals, Nine West.
