I feel like it’s so stupidly me to be posting about a sweater in the middle of summer but this is one of my absolute favorite purchases I’ve made lately. Isabel Marant’s knits this past season were so basic and perfect and I’m already zeroing in on a few pieces from her fall collection that look promising. I’m so inspired lately by almost normal to a fault but clothes that can be worn every day. Also making me happy: that someone with a brain (at a photo shoot for Japanese brand OZOC) finally got ahold of my bangs and cut them in a way that makes sense. THANK YOU.

(Elizabeth and James Heather dress, House of Harlow Chelsea sunglasses, Steve Madden Westii wedges)
I love pairing navy and black but it’s almost impossible to find pieces that do it for you. Not something that I would have even ever thought to complain about but the rarity of it all did make initially finding out this dress exists slightly more exciting. The open back and leather detailing would probably have been enough to sell me alone. Paris has me wanting to dress like an actual girl for some reason (well, off and on), it’s quite cheesy and fun.

(ba&sh suede dress, Balenciaga boots)
I love the straight cut and loose fit of this dress..the suede is so soft and thin that it’s actually wearable for day. I dressed it down with my Balenciaga flat boots and a pink bracelet I got in Harajuku last week. The second shot is right in front of our hotel, Thoumieux..the perfect location with the ba&sh store next to it and the requisite evilly good Viennoisirie bakery right across the street. We stayed in Le Marais last time so it’s fun to traipse about on the opposite side of town for this stay.

(Rag and Bone hat, Etoile Isabel Marant knit and suede boots, Zara skirt, vintage bag, Michael Kors watch)
I’ve already gotten so much wear out of this twirly Zara skirt..so easy to wear with anything. It was so cold in Paris today! Colin and I got up early for a long Metro ride to the flea market and spent the rest of the day trying to figure out what you’re supposed to to on Sundays here. Tried to realize a sudden dream to bike around the city but found out our credit cards wouldn’t work in the Velib machines..so ended up eating croissants and cornichons in bed instead. Not bad either.
