One of my all time favorite thrifted sweaters. Sorry for the smugface, it’s more of a grimace due to almost breaking myself leaping onto this strangely rock hard “couch”. Sometimes you just expect a little more give. I know I’ve posted this sweater before a couple times but I’m just really excited about my new toy the pseudo-Polaroid Fuji Instax. Bought after giving up on finding un-expired Polaroid 600 film and being hit with a grim sold out on all fronts situation at The Impossible Project. I took a few of Chris at various angles and advised him to write his number on them and hand them out like credit card-sized photographic candy to females preceding the exchange with a “You’re welcome”, but his hidebound scope prevented him from seeing this plan through. Ok maybe I give really bad advice (this). OR it would have been an effective way to sift through those unequipped with a sense of humor. Whichever. People are way too on guard anyway. Including me. So, in summary, I have led you in a pointless circle. Sorry about that. But yes I like my new camera.

Strange feeling when you discover that a couple pieces of clothing you’ve owned for six months go together seamlessly. Makes you feel exactly as stupid as you do smart. This dress is one of my favorite pieces in my closet for it’s loose cut and ability to work in any situation given a few accessory changes..but the effect the bustier has on cinching it in just kind of..completes it. So much love for NZ and Australian designers right now. And blindingly bright overhead motion sensor lights.

Andrew Bevan is one of my favorite people I’ve met through blogging..he’s someone that I could easily imagine hanging out with even if we both hated fashion and lived in North Dakota (no offense ND, San Diego is just about as off the fashion radar as you are). We promised to meet up after running into each other on the way into the Alexandre Herchcovitch show and upon our reunion laughed about and at pretty much everything..but only after I saved him from a freshly divorced vodka-happy partygoer who proceeded to hit on a confused Colin. I hope she found happiness later on that night.
Please note his gigantic safety pin necklace. Imagine the things you could fuse together with that thing.

Happy 2010! I was going to get all sequined up but then lost the motivation and ended up dressing more for comfort than anything else. Which included swiping Colin’s jacket for the night. I’ve been looking for a slightly more fitted version of it for myself forever now to no avail.
Thank you to Planet Blue for sending me this Soixante Neuf hammered knuckle ring – it got a redesign courtesy of one of their buyers and I love the result. Better shots of it on the way.
