16/09/2010, actually wearing jeans, fashion week, mane and tail, nyc, vintage

(scarf coat courtesy of Obakki, vintage tshirt, Elizabeth and James jeans, Topshop boots, Mr. Kate/vintage/Dannijo necklaces, Theory bag, Forever 21 headband, Ray-ban sunglasses)

Dressed all the way down and walking over to Cafe Gitane to take a break from everything for a second yesterday..I think. Half my suitcase and all my makeup is flung around Bryan’s room, I feel half-functional at best, I shouldn’t be awake right now, and things are blurring…but in that good way.

From the Rebecca Minkoff presentation yesterday at Lincoln Center. Definitely a new thing for me but such a great experience working with Rebecca and her team was so much fun. I loved the simplicity of the dress (already available for pre-order here) and the hair was just really really good. The Made Her Think earring (worn with Mr. Kate ear cuffs) was literally sewn into my hair and reminded me of a kind of elf princess from the sea. If such a thing were to exist. Thank you to Rebecca for being such a sweetheart and having me be a part of the presentation!

Wearing a headpiece that Mr. Kate sent me last week and having some fun at the Soho Grand. Fashion week has been crazy so far..right now waiting for the Derek Lam show to start at Lincoln Center and trying to figure out what Leighton Meester is wearing. And since I suck at staying on top of posting when I’m traveling, see what I’m doing sooner on Twitter here.

(vintage shrug and hooded cardigan, Alexander Wang jacket and bag, Forever 21 armwarmers, Claude Maus dress, J Brand jeans, BCBG Mendel boots)

I found this hoodie at a vintage store in Huntington Beach with Kristin a while ago, I love that it buttons instead of zipping and the fact that it’s cashmere..good basics make for warm layering…or something.

We took these as we were leaving Bryant Park (for the last time ever! for a show anyway..goodbye green chairs) and ran down the street right afterwards to get a cab and thaw out in the backseat. So so cold.
