Right in the middle of packing for a trip is always my favorite time to sit down in a cross-eyed daze and compulsively organize pretty much anything. It’s all about stalling but not losing the air of productivity. I scooped up handfuls of jewelry from all over my house to make this shot happen. Lo my current favorites. Anyone else still using this zodiac ring organizer? Just me? Probably. Just a few more hours now till I’m off to Morocco!

day one details

I got this Isabel Marant skirt in Paris – the loincloth vibe and minimal surface area were so perfect for Coachella. I’ll post the full look from day one next!

(J Brand Huston leather tank, Zara wrap skort, Céline hologram clutch, Chloé braided sandals)
I can’t even click in Zara’s direction without ordering the next piece I’ve convinced myself will bring together my spring wardrobe. An allure strong enough to validate a skort is never nothing – I love the clean lines and wrap effect going on here. I wore it with a paper thin leather top by J Brand and the sandals I barely took off last summer because it’s completely spring in LA and I couldn’t be happier about it.

(Ankle boots by Saint Laurent, Proenza Schouler, Anine Bing, and Topshop)
Black ankle boots have no season and eternal applicability – obsessed with these four pairs lately.
at anine bing’s silverlake studio

Yesterday morning I stopped by Swedish transplant Anine Bing‘s studio in Silverlake, something I’ve been meaning to do for so long now. Her designs are simple and casual but the details make everything feel special – slightly roided out zippers, a bare bones moccasin done in pony hair, tshirts with heathered stripes. Everything seemed like it would be such an obvious addition to my frantically running around LA during the day section of my closet. And that biker jacket! How was I without it for so long, I can’t even compute.
