Something about this combination being as future civilization-appropriate as it is bohemian is making it my favorite right now. I wore this last night with a blazer to slightly de-crazy it for a pre-Oscar event at the Beverly Hills Hotel. A couple more days left in LA before leaving for Paris on Wednesday, wish me luck getting little white scraps of clothing out of my system before heading back into the snow..

I love the skirt situation going on here. As a guy, I don’t have nearly the same amount of freedom in clothing that women have, but I’ve been experimenting a lot with skirts lately–layering them over pants, wearing maxis, etc. What you’re wearing here reminds me somewhat of those new Givenchy silk chiffon shirts that have an uneven, long hem and give off that skirt look. Wow, I think I’ve said “skirt” about 300 times in this comment. I’m going to go ahead and say it once more, just for fun: skirts. There. I’m done.
