9 am rain

(thrifted coat, Lux sheer dress, Topshop boots, vintage Chanel backpack)

I've been looking for the perfect pair of over the knee boots forever..there are way too many factors that can just ruin them entirely. These looked promising online but I stayed suspicious until I tried them on in store in New York. I had them taken in while I was home and I think I finally have what I wanted. Turns out they take up surprisingly little suitcase room too.

These were taken outside the station closest to my grandparent's place..I've been going here since I was a kid so I remember before there was a gigantic suspended..croissant circle guarding the north entrance. Still haven't figured out it's significance though.

That coat is so decadent. And the boots turned out perfectly. I didn't know you could have them taken in, but it makes perfect sense that you should be able to get shoes tailored as you would a dress or pair of pants.

Love the outfit and as the old saying goes.. "If you don't look sexy in fat headphones then you don't look sexy period" You win this.

Ganymede Girl said...

The boots are great, by having them taken in do you mean you had them fit snugger? That's a great idea, I'm not a fan of loose fitting thigh high boots at all and I love the height of those too, right above the knee is much nicer than higher up the thigh. That backpack is one of my favorite bags of yours too.

There are too many variations of the over the knee boot. Thats the one flaw about trendy items now. Too many variations but rarely do any get them right or the ones that do you have to fork over a rent check to buy them. One day I would love to make a custom pair of boots. It would be fun and more efficient then spending countless time online and shopping searching for the perfect pair!
