The Stolen Girlfriends Club show last night was absolutely insane, this is exactly how I want to dress right now. Blankety Navajo jackets, chunky knit dresses, fringed capes, studded collars, variegated stripes..so good. Imagine my surprise when Marc Moore (who played a huge role in getting me down here to New Zealand, thank you!!!) named a piece after me - the zippered lace bell trousers that he showed me at their HQ that morning. The collection made me want to move into a mountain cave, herd sheep, and wrap everything up with jute. Love love love SGC.

I definitely applaud the designers of New Zealand and you for using your blog to broadcast what is happening over there. However, I cannot co-sign these looks. A little too chunky, furry and uncomfortable looking. I don't mind the men's designs actually. I could totally see it on the street of the LES (wait, I do see it there...).
so love them...hope you are having a fantastic time!
love all those gold watches piled on the arm, fantastic!

I'm a ballet dancer and its funny because what stands out to me are the leotards, knit shorts, huge jackets and other dance clothes/warmups that we've been wearing for years!

Glad you are enjoying New Zealand - only the best country on Earth!
Though these looks are NOT my style at all, I am super glad you are giving credit to all the creative Kiwi designers out there!
Go for the underdog! I will join you in that cave :P
Hope you are having time to explore other sights aside from the fashion shows, though.
OMG! Great collection! love every single piece!
xx!
I could definitely see you wearing the pink dress!!!
this is soooo amazing, definitely want every piece! and hope you're having a great time there :)
xxxxxxx
love the red fur jacket, and love the hot blonde girl in the backdrop of most of the shots, she has great boots!
When are you coming to Australia is the most appropriate question for me to be asking at this point :) There are some interesting things going on in terms of design in NZ at the moment I would have to agree.
the truth: I really like it....it's my kind of style, too.
So, what piece did u get for free perhaps? Lucky girl....hehehehe
are the models wearing make-up? their faces look kinda rough...
i like the knit shorts
i really like the creativity of it.. very new zealand haha

DYING.
I love not only the collections, but the name. Stolen Girlfriends Club...genius!
oh wow, beauties! fashion from nz and australia becomes increasingly fascinating every season.
Have always been a big fan of SGC but this collection really doesn't impress me. Bohemian hobos, overdone grandpa knits, really bad faux fur, dreamcatchers (wtf?)...just bedraggled glamour gone bad. Seriously...knitted shorts! I think it's great that southern hemisphere fashion tries to push the envelop of what is 'in' right now, but this is just really uninspired. I do, however, love the three stacked watches on one arm.
Love all of these!!! We adore your style.

I bet you had a great time there. the collection is awesome. But I don't think I can pull of some them.

That just totally blew my face off...HOW is this label not on my radar?? Those knit shorts! I think I actually prefer them to Prada's. Love the styling details, too...in particular the stacked watches.
Cheeky and genius.

What an amazing collection. Those legging bellbottoms are so wondeful. Just amazing.
xx
Not really my taste but I'm sure you'll make it work when/if you incorporate these looks in your Fall/Winter wardrobe
Im in love with the striped body suit and the striped maxi dress. Im dying to visit NZ someday, I have a cousin who used to work in the fashion industry there.. NZ fashion is totally underrated.
I love almost every piece of this collection. The Navajo prints just blow my mind.
www.trustme-itsparadise.blogspot.com
Wow, totally in love with the 1st 3 outfits, esp. those sweater knit shorts/suspenders.
love the chunky knits...but i'm looking forward to summer down under so not i'm not that hyped about covering up again
I want that big ass dreamcatcher!
I usually LOVE SGFC but I just... ugh... not me this collection. I suppose it's more aimed at the northern hemisphere winter, but really... I've grown up in the deep south with the sheep, and it just reminds me of those smelly farmers/my brother. haha.
"Navajo" jackets?
This is offensive.
Every look here is so interesting and surprisingly wearable! I want it all! New Zealand fashion week is so freaking hip!
colormenana.blogspot.com
No it bloody isnt offensive Miss Romania! get a grip
that "hot blonde girl" in the backdrop is wearing louboutins. she was a bit of a bitch by the way.
wow, thanks for this post, i love it too
how cute are those shoes?!
I want those leggings with the hearts, first off, and how adorable does everyone in the audience look!! Wait, so if the pants are named after you, you get a pair for free right? ;) You totally should!
The collection is definitely interesting and very in line with your style.
But what's with the doleful, and forlorn expressions on the models. They should be delighted they're wearing that stuff! Like the designers.
Also, there is a seriously hot, interesting platinum blonde sitting behind the models near the runway.
Hmm. I have to say not a fan... The pieces look very uncomfortable- the show looked amazing though.
MM x
I totally love/adore/craves it all. Understand the "wanna creep into a cave "-thingie.
this collection's amazing!
love the knit

loooooooove those long knit dresses with the furry boots!
I lovee SCG
Seriously
Everything here is freakingg awesomeee
I agree completely! If it would cool down over here on the east coast I would be living in knits, and cashmere, and corduroy. If you find a cave let me know, I'm moving in. Haha.
Love it! Love these comfy looks, wow!
Stolen Girlfriends Club is the best, you are right!

LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! wow!
Did you take these photos? It's very strange (in a good way)... they look like movie stills! Was it the lighting at the show, was it special?
Umm..these people look crazed and homeless. This is like the "derelict" look of Zoolander. What the hell is wrong with you people?
Omg! your blog is sooo cool! I just love it.
you have so nice pic. and you are very very cute!
keep writing and make my day happy!
Actually, the term 'navajo jackets' is offensive. That's like saying 'jewish dress'.
This girl seems to just dish out the uneducated comments/terminology when it comes to First Nations people. Euh!..
my favorite is the knit shorts
the knit shorts are sexy.
