(H&M jacket, secondhand tshirt, Topshop patent leather skinnies, Emma Cook for Topshop boots, Forever 21 bag)

I can't say the weather was too pleasant in San Francisco for our briefest of stays but when is it ever, right? Can always rely on seeing tourists in flip flops though. Our trip was nonstop. We stayed at my parent's house the first night after a long drive up the 101, barely catching my dad to hang out for a bit before he left for Japan the next morning. He and Colin get along to a degree that confounds me..sometimes I have to vacate the area while they sample obscure beers, unveil all kinds of embarrassing infantile photos, and threaten to disappear in a cloud of cigar smoke beneath his vintage rifle. Disturbing. We checked into our hotel on Nob Hill the next day after I did the requisite hunting for old clothes that suddenly seem interesting again (rasta crochet bikini, hooded robe-like sweater) and got a little crazy with the champagne and the iPod until receiving a call asking us to simmer down due to a couple noise complaints. Nice hotel = old people that go to sleep at 9:00. So he apologetically said anyway. Took to the streets bundled up, froze anyway, and were exposed to far more exercise than was necessary due to the almost 90 degree slopes surrounding in all directions. Hmm. Killer sushi at Sanraku, assorted smoothie drinks and peanut butter m&ms from the liquor store, and a hilariously failed attempt to decide on a bar that would be the most fun later put us right back where we started. Followed up with a breakfast at my favorite Curbside Cafe, it was essentially the perfectly imperfect night. I'll try to be back later in the summer, SF..

I think it's so adorable that our bf & your father get along so well. Good sign, right?

And I love your new hair color. I'm going to get mines dyed in a couple weeks, and I wish I had the right hair to get it to your shade. Unfortunately, my natural hair is a jet black, and I'm scared to expose it to all those chemicals necessary for much lighter hair.

San Francisco is one of my favorite cities to visit. Although those hills are killer. How do you manage to trek up them with your heels? I can barely get up them with regular shoes.

if you came to sf the weekend before, it would've been nice and hot to your liking.

i believe it was a nice 70 or so degrees on saturday and a warm but turned chilly and windy day on sunday...

okay.. maybe only saturday would've been nice but still.. better than the cold air we had memorial weekend.

imagine walking to a rave at cow palace in shorts and a tank top... T___T that's what I did.

It's the bomb, auth Japanese chef, the whole crew and so delicious plus cheapppp. But, get there before they open, or U end up waiting one hour or two, but it's WORTH it. U can go to Bossanova as well, nice ambient, food is alrite. Great picsss, good job Collin.

Rumi, I saw your last post a few days ago and it gave me an idea to use a vest as a scarf halfway throughout the day because it was getting too hot. I love how creative you are with clothing pieces and that you use them in different ways. So...thanks!

I want those emma cooks so bad, I am bidding for them atm on ebay but they are going crazy high! To me they don't look so hard to walk in. Is it just me? Double platform helps a tonne and the heel is rubber so...anyway I'm waffling. My love for those shoes is never ending. and skinnies-they will never go out of style-thank God, I love them!

Anonymous said...

I don't understand why people go so crazy over you. It's so sad for them... they have no lives. These are horrid pictures... no inspiration, awful "style", nothing there at all. That bag belongs in the garbage. Or worse, on a delias sale rack. You're pathetic. So self absorbed but missing the point entirely.

katie d said...

These pictures look straight professional. I love the third one.

My boyfriend is from SF, and when we visited for spring break, we rode bikes all around the city... I seriously thought I was going to DIE on those hills. Even downhill was terrifying because I had to ride his fixed-gear with no brakes!! :o

The patent leather skinnies + boots looks incredible. I love the look of leather pants but are they super uncomfortable? I would have gone with your black Bal but only bc I'm obsessed and jealous of it and its long strap ;)
