(secondhand cropped angora sweater, Kristin's Kill City jeans, Chloe boots)

Kristin and I met up this morning for a quick henna session, and after lying around in the sun for it to dry we were off for some scheduled randomness. Too bad it didn't stain deeper, but it's still fun to look down and keep on being surprised at the ink on my left hand.

Anyway, as it goes, an unbelievably 90s angora sweater, wood grain-ish denim, and a backflip off of a desk in 5" wedges (ok I wish) and a good Sunday was had. More pics to come once I have the patience to resize them.

Contemplating...

Hi Rumi,

It was great working with you on your henna... Henna coloring depends on the skin type. As someone else also pointed out, it may become darker in next one or two days. Remember to warm the hands up, and avoid water contact as much as possible, hopefully you will get a darker tone.

Hope to work with you again...

Hair???

i really love your blog and have been reading for a long time now. im sorry to say this but there is one thing letting you down; your hair. i really wish you would stop dying it. you look so impeccable, the only thing ruining the entire look is your hair. you might be going for a grunge look, but i don't think it is dirty enough to be classified as grunge. your hair always looks so dry and limp, it just ruins all your photos. maybe you should try something closer to your natural colour. your beauty is natural in every other way, you should try and embrace the natural beauty of your hair. i wonder if other people agree with me. anyone??

hate to sound mean. love your style. i have just been thinking it for so long now, i couldn't bear not saying something for any longer. xo

Rumi! Take it from an Indian. The longer you leave the henna on, the darker it stains--I leave it on overnight with plastic bags over my hands so as not to destroy my sheets. Dripping lemon juice mixed with sugar onto the dry henna really helps too.

Not that you have time to have no use of your hands. But just in case.

I FAIL at finding Chloe Docs anywhere and I've been looking for months on eBay. Girl, you're hella lucky. Anyways, I'm having a sale on some of my vintage stuff. There a pair of leather motorcycle skinny jeans you miighttt like but I think they might be too big. They fit my friend loosely and she is 5'3" and a size 25. There is also a backless long sleeve dress with huge jewels on it, a tassel sleeved shirt, and a see through hooded blouse.

You have to keep the henna on longer for it to stain well and you can add oil or lime juice to it and it gets darker. Try it next time. the best time to put it on is at night so then it can stay on while you sleep and then darken throughout the day.

While I did somewhat enjoy this blog in the past, it has become deathly boring and repetitive. There's no constructuve criticism in any of these comments whatsoever. Every outfit you post, no matter how hideous, 100 people will post "OMG gorgeous, I'm going to go copy that." Like seriously??? What happened to fashion blogs being a medium of exchange, of ideas, of new things??
There's no creativity, no originality from posters.
What happened to , "Rumi those boots are great, but I think they'd look great with a baggier sweater or I tried this and this and this might look better...."
There's nothing rewarding and constructive about having a blog for the purposes of having people tell you how great and pretty you are.(Not that you aren't. I think you are very beautiful.)

My opinion is that I love the boots with the jeans but I'm not crazy about the tight, cropped sweater with a tight pair of jeans. I think the boots would look better if you toyed with the proportions of the attire a bit.

Hope all is well.
