First off, I want to thank everyone who spent the time to make me a header, I had no idea that so many of you were so good at this stuff! So thank you for the emails, the links, and even taking the time to ask me for HQs hahah! Sad thing is I feel really horrible since it's nigh impossible to use them all :(
I (along with a few others) really like this one left anonymously, but another reader that prefers to remain anonymous as well emailed me a couple I really liked too..I promise to decide shortly, and thank you SO much again for all of your help!! I seriously suck at that stuff.
And at last I am united with my 06 Balenciaga knockoffs in my size...you know that feeling when you buy something that makes everything in your wardrobe ten times better? Yeah...and I was a little scared after reading reviews that they're vertiginous to an unbearable degree but I find them pretty walkable in reality. Maybe my existing collection has provided me with sufficient training for the holy grail of ankle boots?
But due to a little sizing confusion, I got a pair in a half size too large first, so I'll be putting them in the store tomorrow most likely..if you're a 7.5/8 you're in luck. These suckers run big.
(ETA: the listing for the boots is up..I think there was a little confusion - don't worry, the ones I'm wearing/keeping are a 7 and fit great..if you're a true 7.5 or a smallish 8 these should work perfectly for you..also up are the Topshop studded heel boots that are UGH too big for me why did they send me a 38 when I ordered a 7??)
And, of course, what I wore to test drive them..I'm leaving the quilted chain harness off of them for now, I'm still deciding which way I think they rule more.

Maybe you should keep the larger size.. my boss gave me a random tip and she said to buy shoes half or a full size bigger... because all day of walking (or running)makes your feet swell up... so if the shoe is a tad bit bigger.. swollen feet will fill it up and it'll be more comfortable...

rumi, have you ever thought about buying less and buying the real balenciaga as opposed to the knock-off? I don't say this in a critical way. I think it's a dilemma for anyone who loves designer clothes on a limited budget and shops a lot for mostly lower-priced items. but it would be hard to buy, say, just 3 very important $$$ items a year and nothing in between.... any thoughts? can you train yourself to buy one $1000 item versus ten $100 ones? all best--anne

Those are one of my favorite pair of shoes, you will live in them! I've had mine for a while and I just adore them . The shiny pants with those boots just looks divine! As for buying knock offs vs designers I buy both I just LOVE shoes so I just get the ones I like the best whether they are expensive or one dollar!

I bought these shoes when they first came out. They are absolutely fabulous and I feel they run true to size. Yes they are high and mostly for wearing out to dinner and a club, not taking a trip to Disneyland where you have to do a lot of walking. Just wanted to give you my two cents. They are AWESOME.
all you bloggers dress the same...black, white, patent leather, tights, leggings, mussed up hair, skinny holey jeans, furs, etc. ie.= a uniform.
whether you want to admit it or not, you all are actually slaves to trends. you all want to emulate a certain look, and in that sense, you do follow this dress code, rather than what you actually really like. its like you won't wear a pretty floral skirt because its not what the paris fashion editors or erin wasson will EVER wear, even if you really, really like the floral skirt. if its simply not black, white, has holes in it, etc, you won't wear it.
all you bloggers who dress the same follow these trends like no other and you are no different than peope who wear juicy sweatsuits with uggs. its become SO predictable what you'd wear and like. that's when you know you've fallen in that Trend Trap.

you look dirty in this photo... i know you want to copy cat that loose hair trend, but honey you need to put some styling product in it. it looks like a complete mess all over that fur jacket. and the color of your hair doesn't work with your skin coloring at all. you need a darker hair color, don't fight the asian in you, rumi.

Rumi, I just recently started following your blog and I have to say I am completely hooked. You helped me love/appreciate fashion again...and I even worked in fashion PR awhile back! Your fashion choices, though a bit Wasson-ish I have to agree, still look amazing on you. I also have to give my two cents about the hair...too blonde. Your skin is too pretty for your hair to wash you out like that. You don't have to go full-on raven black but to make your eyes and face pop, you should definitely go darker. Don't fall prey to the light hair/asian trap. I haven't seen one asian who looks good w/ blonde hair yet. You're still fabulous though!!

I love those boots!! I definitely would not be able to walk in them though! I really struggle in high-high heels...I once had a Nordstrom shoe guy tell me to practice vacuuming in high heels to get better at it :) Maybe the boots are worth it...

I have these shoes, and they are definately NOT walkable. I can only wear them for about an hour before my hamstrings feel like they're going to snap. If you can walk in them, cheers to you, but they're not for everyone. Actually, I bet 90% of fashionistas couldn't walk in them.

Hey everyone, ok so before you all freak out, I just wanted to share that Sam Edelman is bringing back those coveted harness boots! They'll start shipping to customers such as Urban Outfitters, Zappos and LF in August so be on the look out!!
