I haven’t worn stripes in a good while, I think they lend a sort of French tart look to this particular ensemble. I don’t know if that’s good or bad. But hey, Coco Rocha shops at Aldo too.
Sweet story from a street style photographer in Paris:
“On Monday morning, I saw this guy right in the street where I was living. High fashion dress, white socks… interesting. He was busy talking on the phone so I looked for a background first. Then I asked him if I could take a picture for my street style blog and he was very kind and said yes. He was waiting for his taxi to come and seemed to be in quite a hurry, but it was enough time to take some shots.
I wanted to know if he was working at the fashion week. “Kind of”, he replied. After having taken the pictures, I asked him to fill out a form with his name and contact data as I always do. When he signed it I just said: “Oh my god, it´s you” – Marc Jacobs gave me the sheet and got into his taxi. What a nice person. And what a great beginning of my Paris fashion week adventure.”
Marc is looking good..nice calves.
Topshop is one of the few places I can order from and securely feel that the pieces are going to look better in real life. Forever 21, though I suppose not really the equivalent price-wise, is such a headache to shop in real life that I just order a bunch of crap and end up sending half of it back. I was indeed immediately smitten with this longish tank with all of it’s lovely even holes that I could never cut so uniformly. I’m really into this hole thing, along with finding the perfect pair of leather leggings and over the knee boots. Horrifically, the most perfectly narrow legged pair I found is backordered until December so my vintage ones will have to do in the meantime.
My jewelry collection is growing again, with the purchase of the awesomely creepy E&J knuckle ring and a gorgeous necklace that Lindley from Korcula sent over to me. Her collection is one of those that strike the balance between vintage and modern aesthetics, and I’m obviously into the oceanic feel to the pieces. I can already tell I’m going to be wearing both of these daily. YES new jewelry.
So glad you liked the vlog ;)
A million thank yous to Nathan Kanne, who we met through Erin in New York and is..a video genius. Watch it in higher quality on YouTube if you so desire.
Erin Wasson x RVCA tank, RVCA men’s trousers, Aldo heels, American Apparel beanie.
Getting more and more excited for fall and adding little touches like knit hats and loose trousers. And I swear to God, if I lost this tank I would probably cry like an idiot.
Sorry I’m behind on getting back to comments, I’m going to try to catch up tonight.
