Silver sequin flames

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Blouse, shorts, and cuff, vintage. Heels, Oh Deer.

Totally the craziest thing ever. Perhaps a bastard love child of this and this? It's too bad (really, really too bad) that I don't have the Balmain moccasin booties to properly channel the bad-ass-ness that could be going on here. It seems like every fall sequins (along with plaid, always a fuss over plaid) are touted as some groundbreaking trend but I kind of love them always. It's still an even 80 degrees every day here so I can't break out the lamé leggings/black funnel neck coat/ankle sock/crazy sandal experiment I'm envisioning but I've always thought that the glitz is offset pretty well by destroyed denim too. Actually, I'm pretty sure that I think everything matches denim shorts. It's okay though, it seems like I'm the only one in the blogosphere that actually loves summer and I'm going to relish every last sticky, sandy second of it.

The only sad thing about this blouse is that it's just the tiniest bit too short to wear as a dress. Even for my (non-existent) standards. I feel like I've been over-wearing my Chloe wedges so I made myself go for these Oh Deer Louboutin knockoffs instead. Not seen since the early days of the blog, when coincidentally, I was wearing plaid. And..denim shorts.

If you're getting bored of studio shots, don't worry because my beloved is returning from Rome in mere hours. Exciting stuff. And he is apparently bringing me crazy fierce Italian cuffs or something. Sweet. Thanks again to all my friends who helped me out with photographs!

No Rumi, you are not "the only one in the blogosphere that actually loves summer and is going to relish every last sticky, sandy second of it." ;) Florida stays "Summer" pretty much all the way until almost December (sometimes January!) with only a few days that get cold, few and far between. So, I won't be breaking out too many sweaters, coats or boots, until, then unfortunately. Unless, I decide to do so just for the sake of craving to wear them anyway, despite what the thermostat reads. ;)

PS: Do you know when those ankle booties will become available to the public?

That blouse is hideous. I'm in love. And 100% jealous of your ability to rock even the most ridiculous things and make them seem totally chic.

Hi Rumi! I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer. =) Thanks s much...

1) How do you wash your F21 leather jacket? It's faux right?

2) Are your CS studded boots comfy? Is it real leather?

You are sooo beautiful that literally ANYTHING can look good on you. Or rather - YOU make everything look good.

With that said, your outfit SUCKS, but you're so gorgeous that I bet no one looks at what you wear anyway.

I think the fact is that in Cali there is always summer, at least it seems so for us Europeans. I would enjoy the every bit of summer as well, if it was any warmer in here. I guess you have to go with whatever you get, so its back to fall basics for us..I wish I could still wear shorts...You definately make every outfit rock!

Hey I saw your blog linked on a friends blog and looked through a couple of posts of yours. I have to tell you that I too think Erin Wasson is pretty fantastic- effortless and simple; she has something in her that makes her THAT effortless. You my dear are NOT Erin Wasson or effortless. No matter how you just throw your outfits together in a minute. You are methodical about looking like her. I don't know if someone said you reminded them of her or what. You took it and ran away with it, huh? I hope I run into you in SF soon and witness these horrible outfits live in action I need a good laugh.
All your designer shoes are hideous as well! Just because they are name brand and DISCOUNTED doesn't mean they are fabulous...They were just on sale! Are you going to post this comment? OR do you only post comments of praise?

RoyalBlueMoss said...

I own those studded ankle boots. I love them. They are super hot. I love wearing mine with skinny black dress pants, a high funnel neck jacket and, a matching huge pyramid belt.... sometimes I'll wear a pair of matching black fingerless gloves with pyramid studs.

where are u taking all your photos? it looks like its in a studio, or something.. :) ?

Karin Lindberg said...

Could I have one pair of those legs, please?

I just wanted to tell all the haters to lay off!! Really I think they're just jealous (I know I am sometimes). That or else they're just don't know anything about fashion. I don't even get why people who make those nasty comments are looking at blogs like yours. Whatev, your badass!!
