I have a policy with handbags - if I end up falling in mad lust with one, which is relatively rare, I'll wait it out. If a year later I still want it, I'll figure out a way to get my hands on it. And so it happened with the Nightingale. After seeing it dangling nonchalantly from both the Traina sister's arms last year, I knew that the simple, logo-less design, pliable leather, and S&M-reminiscent zipper strap would work it's way seamlessly into my wardrobe, and since so much later I still couldn't get it out of my mind, I finally bit the bullet and got the luxuriously huge Maxi size. What I love most about it is that it's so damn mushy that if it isn't filled to the brim with my goods, it sort of collapses it's way into not seeming like such a massive bag, but when I was lugging it through the airport yesterday, it fit every last thing I could possibly need to smash in. Caldwell doesn't seem to be quite sold on it yet, declaring it huge and plain, but I'm going to give him some time to come around.
Oh and I can't stand that creepy black mark my camera is now decorating all my photos with either..taking care of this problem soon...
Tee, Gap. Shorts, Levi's. Sunglasses, Rayban. Bag, Givenchy. Shoes, Aldo.

O.m.g Rumi! When I saw this post.. I was just like no... *double look* then almost a gasp.. LOVE it! The bad of course, although Im loving the simple outfit as well. Ahh jealous.. pretty much speechless as well hahah, I can only imagine the perfect buttery slouchyness of it. I think your purchase plan is a good idea, Im usually just a splurger.. but I should take this into account. I think you made the right decision though, how can you go wrong with an oversize black leather bag?

But plain is good because then you can wear it with so many outfits AND fit everything inside it, which can be a good and bad thing (as in I sometimes I carry TOO much stuff with me)

Congrats. This bag is great. I love it for the lack of shiny logo or hardware. Everything is so muted. I have the medium one, I'm sure the maxi is twice as fun and practical.

i love the bag. its simple, so its not one of those bags that is so in now and out in three weeks. i also love when you can fit five million stupid things that you will never need in your purse, but it still won't fill to the brim

I really love that bag...I'v seen a cheapy version of it at f21 in pink and grey...but this is way more rock and roll in a soft allusive way...I'ts wonderful..can't wait to see what outfits your gunna put with it.

Jesus you are so freakin lucky! I have been wanting that bag FOREVER! Have you seen the one with the grommets all over it? or the bronze one? They're both really cute, but I'm like you when it comes to designer handbags, I don't buy every "it" bag that pops up, I only buy either when that "it" bag shows that it has some longevity like the Balenciaga motorcycle/city bags have done or classics like Chanel and Louis Vuitton that will never go out of style, and of course I have to be able to imagine a bag working with the majority of my wardrobe. I love the bag, and surely Caldwell will come to love it too lol. The levis look great and I might just have to order the Aldo shoes in that color too even though I just got the black last month.

hey, do you think if you re-did that post..the one with all the items you frequent to the most(I forget the title; white tees, studs, etc.,etc.), that it would be different now? You've developed quite the impressive bag collection, it might be kinda cool to see em all spread out...plus what you wore a lot back then doesn't necessarily seem to apply to now, naturally. i love it! i have the black medium nightingale from the first season fa/06 resort/07 and mine has the givenchy logos embossed at the base of that handle? i know they made many different styles....is yours the ostrich handle? i think i prefer the logoless ;)
