A couple extra shots we took by the cliffs this past weekend I thought I might as well share..I really wanted to wear my new lace-ups but we decided it was too cold to bother with much of a photo shoot. I did end up returning my white Docs, mostly because I didn't feel like putting the time and energy into wearing them in until they looked good. Plus they were massively uncomfortable..the tongue kept on chafing my ankles. Weird. Anyway, I figured something would turn up eventually while thrifting, and, well, they did. They're by some obscure brand but they fulfill my qualifications of being laced and pre-worn in.
Cool: my boyfriend has invested in an actual good camera after doing much internet research - the Canon XTI! Hopefully my blog photos will benefit. I told him to start a photography blog, since he seems to be getting quite into it. He didn't seem very impressed by this suggestion though. I don't think he shares the same love for the internet that I do. What a weirdo.
Dress, American Apparel. Shirt and boots, secondhand. Jacket, Forever 21.

I Cant wait to see you wear those lace ups. I noticed on your profile that you like Wes Anderson movies. "The Royal tenabaums" is among my favorite movies. I actually watched "the darjeeling limited" for the first time today and i loved it.

I really like the forever 21 ring too.. sadly I didnt see it when I took my trip to the tornado remains. Like the nail polish too!

I know exactly what you mean about wanting a pair of lace-up flat shoes like forever but being unable to find just the right pair because I have been having the same problem for almost a year now since I saw a photo of Kate Moss wearing some. I have still yet to find that perfect pair for me. I can't wait to see what you end up wearing with these!
the new boots are great, they suite you much better than the doc's. plus, they're pre-worn in, no work necessary. ;)
Oh, Canon xti is 400d in Europe, so it's the one I own. Good choice, that'a s great camera. I really like your boots, I think they suit you better than Dr. Martens.

Doc's really very very specific thing!!!Especially in white colour. i prefer your black boots. Photoshoots are great!!!
I had the same problem with the rubbing of ankles on my white docs, which is a shame because they are cool. These second hand ones look like they've had more of a life too them, which is so much better. You look gorgeous!
I know what you mean about the docs - they're really tough to incorporate into different styles of outfits and often the beat up black fake ones (which I happen to have a pair of too!) end up looking better..
