I'm starting a fashion blog of my own, do you mind if I link to yours?
BTW, the green dress you wore in the last post is perhaps my favorite thing you've featured on your blog! I love how you wore it with the heart-shaped sunnies too.

thank you for the compliment Rumi!=)

i'm so curious about this, how do you manage to wear super high heels/platforms on a daily basis? i can't manage to wear them (super high heels) for more than 20 minutes.=( is it cos you've gotten used to it, you don't pass through uneven flooring (cobbled roads etc), or is it the suffering for fashion? i'm dying to wear high high heels on a daily basis. my feet can only manage 2inches max. the entire day but beyond that height, it's kind of lazy to learn and very very wobbly.=S

please please give me tips Rumi. it'd be much appreciated.=)

Best legs ever.

Rumi, only you could make me want to wear this..The light wash denim jacket does an amazing job of toning the leggings down. This outfit is so 90s via 2008.

Wow Rumi. Your hair is beyond gorgeous.
I know a while ago you mentioned that you have no idea what colors your stylist uses but do you have any idea how she does your highlights or anything like that that could help me achieve color similar to yours? I'm dying to figure out how such an amazing tone is created! (Hahaha, no pun intended.)

Wow, I wore a very similar outfit today! Same shoes, black leggings (though not shiny ones like yours), tunic tee and olive fatigue jacket..made for an interesting trip to the grocery store!

How funny- I pull out random clothing articles from my middle school era as well!

Btw thanks for being such an up-to-date blog! I don't know of any other bloggers who post as frequently as you do, I only wish my other favorite sites would take your lead ;)

Soo really, I usually check your site when I have time..which is at like 1am 2am etc etc haha yes, im insomiac. I try to reserve my comments for a more appropiate hour but always forget. hahaha but nomore. (sorry I ramble haha)

This outfit is really cute! I saw a pic of ashley olsen(i thnk..) wearing those pants with a loose shirt(grey) and the gladiator heels. it loked really cute, but i like those shoes w the outfit too. its kinda more colorful cuz you have the wood from the heel. + the jacket gives it a comfy, more approachable look.

Love the shoes, and the leggings look great on you!
I differ in opinion from an earlier commenter, and like the amount of photos you post so we get to see the look from different angles etc

I keep trying to convince myself I don't need those leggings and then you make them look even better! Great look!

This is my first time commenting. I found your blog on Stylebytes's blogroll. Anyway, the leggings compelled me to comment-- they look spectacular!

Mimi said...

very cool outfit - this is exactly how these leggings should be worn IMO

The gold metal around the heel of the shoes is what got my attention. They are so sexy.

WhoWhatWearDaily has an amazingly similar (read: same) post to one of your recent ones. Perhaps they've been doing some web-based research for inspiration from the regular folks ... ?

Thought maybe it would be funny to you, as it was to me.

Thanks for checking out my blog Rumi! I'm wearing that white tee right now and I just wore it to my 8am class. Sigh, heaven!!! You rock those leggings like nobody has ever seen before. I think AA should pay you for all the modeling you do for their clothes. I'm sure you've increased their sales since the start of your blog :P As I know they have lots of my money as a result of being inspired by you! :)

Anna Pope said...

Those leggings looks amazing on you and I love them paired with the white t-shirt, you rock this look!

I just looooooooooove your shoes they're AMAZING!!!!!!!

kirsten said...

Someone please tell me which color of the leggings you are wearing, the lame black or the black eel? I've had the Kova & T leggings like this since the fall, but I want to get a pair of the AA ones because it would be nice to also have a pair that doesn't have stirrups. I love love the shoes and jacket. I've been looking for the perfect light denim jacket all year.

Rumi said...

Thank you so much as always for your sweet comments :)

Meg, I think it's just a matter of being used to wearing them..plus if you'll notice I hardly ever wear thinner heels, mostly for the day I wear wedges and chunky heels like these. If I'm wearing boots I like to put in gel insoles to make them more comfortable too.

Thanks Kim, I love your description.

Anon 8:33, I found a piece of paper that the first girl that dyed my hair blonde-ish wrote some notes on, it's pretty illegible and written in hair jargon but it reads: DP+10vol, highlift HLA + 3 violet shots, NO idea what that all means obviously or if it's even helpful...

Anon 9:28 haha isn't it fun to recycle.

In regards to the T that you've emailed/commented on, I bought it about a year ago online, so it hasn't been available for a while! I know Alternative Apparel has similar stuff with their burnout items.

xoxo and kirsten, these are the just the normal lame ones :)

Haha anon 9:41 saw that too...

Erika, lol I definitely have a good amount of AA things, you are so cute hehe.

I've wanted those heels for so long, but alas, I'm poor at the minute.
You pull off leggings better than anyone I've seen.
Every post is inspiration

Every time I see your Aldo heels I want them!

I also love how the AA leggings look, you wear them well! ♥

kirsten said...

One more question... I've looked all over Urbn site and either can't find that tee or just don't know which is the right style. Or is your white tee from a long time ago and no longer available? It just looks so comfy, perhaps even more so than my go-to favorite Alternative Apparel burnout tees. I love that you have so much American Apparel stuff on here because I am an AA junkie. I could probably open my own AA right out of my own closet.

Thanks soso much Rumi, for responding. I'm not sure what that means, but next time I get my hair done, I'll ask my hairstylist if he knows. I could bring a picture in to show him your hair, if you don't mind?

Thank you. :]
