It seems Bebe has increased their trendwatcher's budget and they seem to have taken inspiration from numerous unexpected sources this season. I can't say I'm against them trying to bring a little Givenchy into the average Betty's life but still. My favorite part is the twists they give each shoe, sometimes radically altering the entire look, most notably the executive decision to make the Givenchy peep-toe lace-ups into a slide. Which can't have been done because they didn't think their rhinestone and satin-bedecked customer wasn't ready for the peep-toe boot since those too have made an appearance. I have to see this one for myself and will be scheduling an unexpected visit to my nearest Bebe sometime this week. If I return with the Schouler k/os in hand you can't say you didn't see it coming.

I was on the site yesterday and the Givenchy inspired shoes are beyond amazing! I actually like their version more... weird... I know.
you know i always get excited when i see this designer inspired shoes but sometimes they just don't fit and look like the real ones. It can be a really hit or miss thing but I think they are a great alternative for those of us that can't afford the real thing. I have been coveting those stud givenchy pumps and just cannot bring myself to spend that much money on such a "trendy" shoe but Givenchy has really been spot on with its shoes
I can't agree with you. Cheap shoes-is sheap shoes. Almost all cheap shoes made in China.For example, Steve Madden made the worst shoes i've ever seen. Sometimes I see nice pair in cheap shop, but I prefer buy one pair but from designer (my favorite: le silla,sergio rossi, luciano padovan and marni) then buying a lots of pairs in topshop.
But you know,Rumi, you look always great!
The Givenchy Gladiators and Proenza copies are my top picks of the bunch. I can totally see myself wearing them.

yah, i remember when balenciaga brought back the stiletto timberland look bebe copied them exactly, which i wouldnt have expected to them.
but taking direction directly from the runway is what made me start buying nine west shoes so maybe this is a smart move for them

I love Nine West - they always make comfy copies. Not sure I can say the same about other brands.
