I have a semi-bitter love/hate relationship with Topshop's website...so many necessary items, but everything is always sold out when I'm ready to click through an order. I recognize that there are worse problems to be had, but still. I'm feeling relatively anguished over the fact that I apparently missed my chance to order the Maggie button-down skirt. How can such a simple item elude me so! And yes I tried on the Urban Outfitters version, and the extra small sat low on my hips, which it was probably supposed to, but methinks the entirety of the allure of this item is based on the fact that it be high waisted.
And the shoes! So many amazing(-ly weird) boots to be had! Just not sure if they're worth like over $200. But talk about taking hybrid shoes to the level after the next. Quite sassy. Oh, and that's the back of the dress (top right)...it was more interesting than the front.
Lastly, hmm it seems I am not the only awkwardly pigeon toed poser. I seriously don't know why I do this, to the surprisingly large amount of people that have inquired. I mean I don't walk like that or anything but I think it helps me to stabilize when standing still for a photo? Especially in heels? Maybe? At this point it's so ingrained that it's almost difficult not to. I tried.

Just wanted to thank you for the inspiration! When I'm in a fashion rut I look at your site.
Ooooh I love Topshop but they don't shop to where I live, which seems a bit strange to me!!! So I will have to go to London again soon. But I'm totally in love with the shoes!!!!
Aren't those white shoes the same as the Steve Madden ones for spring this year? Weird. Good pictures though - tempting Topshop, yes.
love the two tunics/dresses on the right- so so pretty.
Are you ordering any of this soon?
Well, whatever the case, the slightly pigeon-toed stance assists in showing your shoes off in their entirety, which can't be a bad thing. Besides, it's all about the clothes anyway, not the poses. Happy V Day = )
i was JUST on the topshop site (after hearing all of the collabos were finally up) and i was admiring several of the same pieces as you! what's more is that i was also SO frustrated with how all the topshop size sixes were out. arrrgh! methinks i should consider buying size 8 where available?
the topshop maggie button skirt was awful, i ordered it and it was massive and loose and went on the hips, it did not look likt it should. not on me anyway.
I totally do the pigeon toed thing too, my mother never stops making fun of me about it. Just found your website, i love it! :)
My bf makes fun of me being pigeon toed too. We should start a self help group.
I've seen all Roitfeld, Alt and Huyhn pose pigeon toed so you are in good company. I actually like the pigeon toed posing it looks different and casual not like you are trying too hard!
Like fashionqueen101, I ordered the the button down skirt (in a uk size 8) and it was MASSIVE, it practically fell straight off me. So don't fret that you missed out on something amazing! : )
oy vey the footwear...LOVE! They're so gorgeous that im not capable of forming a coherent sentence!

I have the same problem with the Topshop website...actually gave up trying to shop their stuff online...
Wow glad to know I'm not the only one frustrated by the Topshop site! I just don't understand why they can't make more so they aren't always out of stock!
Haha thanks fashionqueen and anonymous I'm weirdly relieved to know that the buttondown skirt wasn't as great in real life, why can't any stores make this item right! Will have to keep looking for a vintage one...sigh.
Dreamecho, I suppose that would be the best thing but I'm leery about ordering anything in the potentially wrong size when shipping is so much! I don't even know how their shoes run, I'm between a 7 and 7.5 so it's even mroe annoying. Oh the travails of amassing the perfect wardrobe!
And yay for the pigeoniness! Haha I feel better now.
great selections!
i'm lucky enough to work 2 minutes away from the flagship oxford circus topshop. though it's not good for the bank balance!
you really should get the richard nicoll dress if you can. it looks even nicer in real life. i bought it recently and will be posting about it tomorrow.
There's actually a cute button down skirt that's very similar to the topshop one that is (at last check) still available at urbanoutfitters.com
Just looking through some of your older blogs! I know the feeling of everything being sold out! Lately I've been kinda in love with alpine stars women's collection, they have some surprisingly awesome stuff for being a motorcycle wear company, anyway, everything i want is sold out! ALWAYS! so obnoxious.
