My Forever21 haul

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I caved. I was starting to feel like I was wearing the same thing all the time. However disconnected that thought might be from reality, the urge for newness conquered me and I painstakingly put together quite a varied order from Forever21. In it are included a men's stripey French-reminiscent pullover, a dropwaist feathery concoction that could prove to be disastrous upon receipt (my first Twelve by Twelve exploration!), weird meshy oxford heels, and a jeweled collar/cuff combo that I have no idea what to do with but promptly decided I needed to own. Will be reporting back upon receipt in 5-10 days.

PS - They are now shipping abroad! How wondrous. It seems that their shipping and handling is sort of more outrageous than Topshop's, but at least the clothes are cheaper I suppose..

All pics, Forever21.

ha, I'm about to change my style scheme too at the moment. I must admit it's actually pretty difficult and I haven't come up with anything new and mind blowing yet. If you're open for constructive criticism I think those pieces you've just ordered don't really look so far from what you've already got. It's just a step of my process to lay bare everything that is so typically me and to shuffle it up. Except this cuff thing, I wouldn't know what to do with it either.

I love these things! and yes the shipping is absurd, if you buy for $50 the shipping is $45! won't stop me from ordering though!!!!

That feathery thing does remind me of a flapper dress...

The international shipping and handling costs are indeed insane...but the clothes are soooo darling...I am actually waiting for my best friend to find a flat in Seattle (where the mean girl now leaves, across the ocean from me), to place an order and have her forwarding it to me!

hi! I am crazy over the oxford heels you posted - you make me want to acquire them!

Oh my god, I've hoped for so long that they would ship abroad... For me, living in Switzerland and admiring the clothes, it's such a chance! It's just a shame that the shipping rates are about 7 times higher... I have to think about how I can handle that...

I removed the feathered dress from my basket a second before ordering, keeping the Amore navy and pink oxford heels. The heels are fabulous and comfy, but now I wish I'd gotten the dress too

There's a word for those collar things.....oh yeah, dickie!
They appear to be enjoying some sort of comeback.

Thanks for the constructive criticism the kitten! I think I may have phrased this oddly because I didn't mean that I was sick of my entire style of dress, I meant that I felt like I was having to wear specific items too much so I wanted new ones...does that make more sense? I'm more of a gradual change person, especially in a larger complete overhaul sense...

Elinl, the feathery dress is under their "Twelve by Twelve" section, you can see it at the very top of their site, it's their slightly more expensive line.

I hope the international orderers like their stuff!

Stephie, the oxfords are a little weird, I tried them on in real life and they're super meshy but not overly transparent, I'm excited to try to dress them down. And hopefully I can make that vest not look too cheesy!

Hi! I'm really excited to see how you style that denim vest-I've been thinking of buying one lately but not sure if it will just make me look like a cowgirl-wannabe or something. Can't wait to see it in an upcoming outfit post!

Oh I'm in love with your blog, just stumbled across it and you bet I'm staying! Wanted to ask you about the shoe sizes at forever 21, should I order one size up or are they true to size? I'm a 38 european, so a 8,5? Thank you! Maddi

Hi Maddi! When I tried them on in the store, they seemed to run a little small...I'm not too familiar with European sizes so I'm not sure what you would be..

Thank you for answering!! I think I´ll probably go up a size to be sure. And congrats with your new fashion job!! XX Maddi
