Saturday night

A semi-chaotic night downtown with some collegiate-era friends entailed the debut of my fabulously vertiginous Forever21 heels. Purple isn't a favorite color of mine whatsoever, but I loved the satin/platform/buckle combination too much to refrain from purchasing. And not a single blister after what seemed like endless street meandering and taco hunting.

PS one looking down and one hazily up. But yeah, in regards to Friday's comments, clothing > poses.

I love your Ralph Lauren blazer. You got it from the children's dpmt? I'm too petite for most of the coveted brands.

The stuff you manage to find at Forever 21 and incorporate into your wardrobe is awesome. I do a walk-through of F21 everytime I go to the mall but never manage to find anything worth buying and that's saying a lot since everything at F21 is sooo cheap. I'll have to try harder next time. Love your site!!!

I love your site! I have been reading it everyday like the newspaper. I have a question for you- I live in a town basically made up of college kids and old about-to-retire caucasians. It's hard to dress up and be in style. I'm from San Jose, which is a big city compared to this small town I live in for the meantime. Would you dress up still? I feel like these people look at me so weirdly like I did something wrong. Also everyone at school dresses like they just woke up... and it's not pretty!

Love the shoes, very retro. I'm not really a huge fan of Forever 21, but I like the things you've found there. Love your site, I stumbled upon it yesterday and it inspired me to take some pictures of my own clothes. It would be cool if you checked out my blog, but I must warn you, you'd be the only one, I had been using it for sort of journal-ish purposes previously.
I also feel the same way as Erika (who commented before me) I live in San Jose also, except for that I'm in Costa Rica.

WOW, amazing shoes!

Thank you!!

To Laureilly and Erika, I've always thought that one should dress in a way to please themself and not others. I like looking different from everyone else's California uniform of Abercrombie jeans and tight tops, and fashion makes me happy so screw the "looks" I might get if people think I'm crazy! Dress for the life you want, not the life you have.

I loved that white dress! It's a shame that I live in Norway, I don't find amazing dresses like that here! You've got a beautiful taste in clothes!
